Cayman Healthcare Consulting - Cayman Health Law 2017

By: Barrie Quappé RN, BSN – Consultant/Director:

As the Cayman Islands are focused on their elections and rightly so due to the new single member electoral districts and restriction to one vote only, legislative changes continue and may not capture the attention that is also deserved. For healthcare, one major shift has been the amendments to drop the requirement of foreign practitioners needing to have a Caymanian ‘affiliate’ in order to register for professional practice in the Cayman Islands.

The relevant section is inserted below for your examination. Further, I would recommend you acquire a copy of this for your healthcare facility, so your HR manager is up to speed on the latest legal requirements.
